adding pci cards

whenever i add a pci card the systems hangs after a few minutes. i have tried win2k and xp and it does the same on both operating systems. Anyone got any ideas?

The system is probably negotiating IRQs. You can hard-set an IRQ for the device in CMOS <F1>.
