We're running a seperate webapplication to make detailed plannings for projects. In this application users are selected to participate in the project. Unfortunately this also has to be done in the Project Workspace.
We're looking for a solution using LAPI to populate the participants of a project initiated from our planning-application. Does anyone have an example how to do this ?
Preferably with a Java-applet. We're using Directory Services which might make it more difficult.

Have you tried the LAPi knowledge base in KB.I have some working LAPI samples at which explains the rudimenatry details of creating a session and using the livelink DAPI objects and WAPI objects using java.I haven't seen a direct ProjectAPI but you will probably accomplish by the call createObjectEx and for updating use UpdateObjectInfo_Once again I haven't tested these things but by casually looking in the documentation. If time permits I will see if I can rig up a quick example
May I also point out that the use of an applet may require a JVM to run and to be allowed download of your applet.Should'nt you try and use a server side solution aka servlet/jsp etc.

The essence of knowledge is, having it, to apply it; not having it, to confess your ignorance.
