Dear all,

I have two questions:

1) How can I add a Win2K server to an NDS tree and then map drives to NT shares? EG: I have two servers. One Netware 5 and the other Win 2K. The login scripts for users map drives to netware volumes depending on their group membership. I would like to be able to do the same with my NT resources. Currently "//NTServer/Digital Media" is available to all once logged in through Netware. I would like to map the drive during the logon script only to certian people. (I currently map the drive as one that is processed after the login script and is restored by Windows - I don't want to do this)

2) The hardware clock on the Netware server is arse. (Yes I have checked and changed the CMOS battery - no luck!) I would like to customise the time sync service so that it syncronises to the Win 2K server which is running Automachron and supports NTP. All clients have time syncronisation disabled in the Novell Client preferences and are running a small NetTime v1 client that keeps them in check. I have tried configuring the time source on Netware as the IP of my Win 2K server but I am unsure about the hardware clock and PRIMARY, SECONDARY and REFERENCE settings!?

Please help
Many thanks in advance
Jason.

Dear all,

I know it's a bit strange to reply to your own post... but I have just read the forum in more detail (should have done before hand really...) and found the following answers. If anyone has any other suggestions I would be very interested!

1) #NET USE \\NTSERVER\E$\DATA /USER=<username> <password> in the login script or in a .bat file in the Windows Startup folder (Thanks TheLad)

2) Try the following config with Timesync.nlm v5.15
Default Time Server Type: SINGLE
TimeSync Configured Sources: ON
TimeSync Hardware Clock: ON
TimeSync Service Advertising: ON
TimeSync Time Sources: 127.0.0.1 (loopback for NSBS5: 127.127.1.0)
Timesync Type: REFERENCE

Set the restart flag :) (Thanks JenniferC)
