Adding notes to Contacts

For those of you who are extra observant yes this is a double-post. I originally posted it in Microsoft Office but I'm not getting any responses there and I need an answer.

Hey all, I have a user running Outlook 2003 connecting to my MS Exchange 2007 server. She would like to be able to add notes to global contacts that are on the server and I don't see how she can do that. Is this even possible?
