adding new users through CMC

I am using Crystal Reports Server XI. I have a list of users around 40 who need to have access to view the reports via infoview.
the error im getting after adding 5 users is

"There was an error while writing data back to the server: You do not have enough Named User Licenses to make this user a named user. You have 5 Named User Licenses ".

Do I need to have 40 licenses to add 40 users?

Any help will be appreciated..

A named user is for a single named user, so yes, you need 40 named user licenses for 40 users.
If you want to add more users, you can buy either 35 named licenses, or 5 CALs. CAL = Concurrent Access License, so 5 could be connected at any one time. You could still use your existing 5 named for people who HAVE to have access at any time they want.

Thanks for the reply.

Except 4 or 5 users, all others should have rights to view the reports throuh infoview. In this case still do I need to purchase additional licenses.

yes - they still need to login, or take a look at my web site for rtpView for Servers - much more efficient way to use CALs (doesn't help with named account users though).
