I have an Option 61C and am running out of numbers provided by the local carrier. My customer is in the process of purchasing a new block. Once I know my new block of numbers, how do I add them to my switch?

usually the CO sends 4 digits, if thats the case all you need to do is build a set with those new last 4 on it and it will work.

if they are completely different than your extensions you would need to add them in the IDC table.

Check the RDB for your T1s to find out what IDC table is associated with those circuits. In the appropriate IDC table, add the DIDs (IDGT) and point them to the appropriate phones.

unless you can't use the numbers you get, then just build the phones.. or add did;s to working sets.. idc is usefull if the provider gives you say 9000 to 9999 and your using dial 9.. then an idc would be used to turn them into better numbers.. most of the time you can get numbers in the range you need.. if you get numbers from a new nxx then you might need to add that nxx to your clid table if your using didn yes for a clid entry,,, i've seen that where some did's were 434 xxxx and others 435 xxxx.. to send clid to the called party external we had to add a clid entry for each nxx and apply it to the phones
