Hello

Can someone please help. I have a Mitel MiVoice Call Recorder and a MiVB PBX, existing extensions are recording OK. I have added new extensions on MiVB same COS and then added them to the Mitel SRC Devices on the MiVCR ( same as working extensions). All the ports are setup for late binding. I have also added the new numbers to the extension list but still no recording.
What I have noticed is, in the Device Monitor table my new extensions are there but show as failed where as the working extensions are active but i cant change anything is this table.

Thanks in advance.

MiVB is 8.0 SP3
MiVCR is 9.2

I am going to assume that you are using a SRC server (MBG).

You need to add the extension to that and also set the phone to use that instead of the MiVB, similar to what you would do for teleworker.

If you look at the IP Telephone Inventory on the MiVB to you may see all the extensions that are recording as the same IP address? This will be the SRC/MBG.

The MiVCR will be tapping into the SRC/MBG and it is failing because there is no extension programmed.

Thanks for your reply, however on the MBG which has the SRC Taps there are no devices setup, MiNET or SIP. I think this is because we are using indirect call recording. Also the extensions being recorded are HDU. I can login with one extension and recording works, login with my new extension and it doesn't.

do you have any additional recording rules setup or is it just the record calls default?

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Thanks for replying, everything is default
What I have noticed is that in the Device Monitor section which lists all the Mitel SRC devices the extensions which do record have a cross reference to what looks like a port. All my ports are set to late-binding which from my understanding means when a tap is sent it picks a free port,

Are all the extensions using the same sort of devices ?
are they hot desk or fixed
are the devices they are using the same as the phones that are working?
is the handset firmware the same?
how many phones are being recorded in total
Mitel no longer recommends indirect ( too many issues)

is the cti link up under server startus ?

Hi

Are all the extensions using the same sort of devices ? Yes, all HDU logging into 6930 all on the same controller
are they hot desk or fixed
are the devices they are using the same as the phones that are working? Yes
is the handset firmware the same?
how many phones are being recorded in total: around 40, I have 46 licenses, i can see in the VAT status all ports are idle
Mitel no longer recommends indirect ( too many issues)

is the cti link up under server startus ?yes it is

does one of the new extensions get recorded when it logs into a device that one of the old extensions was using ?

for example
device only 1*001 with HD ext 6000 - recording works

device only 1*041 with HD ext 6041 - recording not working

if ext 6041 logis in on devioe 1*001 does it get recorded?

- if that works its pointing at 69xx firmware - we have has lots of firmware related issues with 69 series ( latest is 1.5.2.24 i think)

- has anything been restarted (i would start with the call recorder and then do the SRC

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Indrect call recording only support 53xx and 69xx phones, so you are good there.
No need for MiNet association on SRC as it's indirect.

What is the status of the extension/port in MiVCR?

Hi
VAT Status: all 46 ports are green
some extensions already existed and worked OK, these were in the Mitel SRC list and showed a cross reference number in the Device Monitors
I have added my new extensions in the Mitel SRC list, i can see them in the Device Monitor list but stats is failed, working extension show active

Thanks
