Good Morning All, I'm trying to find out how do I go about adding a new extension range to our MM. I can't seem to find a decent manual anywhere on Avaya's 'new' support site. Thanks In Advance
MM doesn't use extension ranges per say, just what is sent to it from the PBX/integration. That is true except for when you use MM with multi-site. Are you using MM with multi-site?
If you are not using MM's multi-site then you just have to make sure your integration is sending the "new" range to MM. This depends greatly on the integration method used, but I usually start with the public/private numbering tables to make sure the new range is there (is using QSIG or SIP). Definitely check with the configuration note for the method of integration your MM system is using.
I would review the configuration note for your integration method. That should give you since insight into what needs to be in place in the PBX to send the correct information to MM.
Sorry, but let me give you all of the details. I was tasked to begin testing in preparation for my sites migration to our MM at another of our sites. Currently, there are 3 other locations that use the MM using H.323 trunks. I've copied the trunk config of the other 3 locations, and the only difference is that those locations are sending using AAR & I'm using ARS, but I don't think that would make a difference. I'm going to reveiw the config note to make sure I didn't miss anything.
I agree, but apparently it does as I finally got it to work on Friday after making changes to the UDP tables. I use ARS for internal or in our case, between site calls as this setup that I inheirited wasn't ever setup for DCS prior to going to 87xx switches. I thank you for your responses.
