Adding New Domain to Lotus Notes cluster

Hi Guys

I am completely new to lotus administration . Unforrunately my lotus guy have resigned from company and now we have a requirement of adding a new domain to lotus.

Environment is that we are running a cluster of Lotus Notes server.


Can any body guide me to some manual or docs having procedure for this ??

Is that very difficult or sensitive work ( especially from point of view of Lotus cluster ) so we can call IBM for this activity or we can do this activity by our self..

Please advice under ur experiences !!!

Hi Polani

Should not be too much problem adding a server to a cluster, its reatively simple. If you just do some searches on the Net you should be able to get some good docs. Essentially you can add the server to your Notes Domain (Asks you this when you install Notes) and then once you have up and running and your ready for it to be added to the cluster then its just a couple of clicks in the administrator. Again there is a cluster document and you can just add servers as you wish.
A notes cluster is essentially two replication which is almost immediate and is much easier than setting connection documents etc.

I am bit confused now ... is adding new domain equivalent to add new server to existing cluster ???

or these two have different meanings

please help me as now this actvity is being lingered on...
