adding network printer to roaming profiles

Hello, I have a number of mandatory roaming profiles setup on a Win 2003 server / XP pro client environment. However i have just installed a new network printer and i need to make this available to the users.

However when i change the ntuser.man to ntuser.dat then login to attempt to add the new printer to their profile i seem to get a completely different profile screen. When i add the printer to the different profile screen then rename the ntuser file to mandatory again the change is not carried accross.

Does anybody have any ideas why i get a different profile screen when i change the ntuser.man filename back to .dat?
