Hello, I'm new to the forums. I've searched and found some posts that do close to what I want, (i think!), but I'm not suavvy enough in CR to implement the possible solutions, especially using the formulas.

Everything in the following example below works, except I can't figure out how to get the $3675 Grand Total, which is a summary of my report/group footer summaries.

Northern Division
Tuition Travel Per Diem
Smith
Cooking 100 200 500
Algebra 200 600 50
Art 1A 400 200 125
SUBTOTAL $700 $1000 $675

Jones
Sewing 200 300 100
English 100 400 200
SUBTOTAL $300 $700 $300

TOTALS FOR DiV $1000 $1700 $975

GRAND TOTAL $3675

Can anyone advise?? Thank you so much!

I forgot to mention I'm running Crystal Reports Professional 10.0.

Thank you!

if this is at the report footer level, then you would just need to create a formula like:

sum({table.tuition})+sum({table.travel})+sum({table.perdiem})

If at the division group footer level, you would use a formula like:

sum({table.tuition},{table.division})+sum({table.travel},{table.division})+sum({table.perdiem},{table.division})

lbass,

Thanks for the quick response! The formula makes sense, but I'm not sure where to place/use the formula.

(I am trying to place this at report footer level).

Do I add a summary there and somehow enter the formula for the summary? If this is the case, I can't even seem to get this correct.

Thanks again lbass. Much obliged,
-Roger Harness

Before I forget, you are in the wrong forum. You should be in forum149 or forum767.

Go to view->field explorer->formula->new and enter the formula there. Then save and close and drag the formula into the report footer.

Thank you lbass, that worked perfectly! I now have new tool I didn't even know about.

Thanks again, and I apologize for posting in the wrong forum.
