I have an initial 61c and plan on installing the default database. After I add the IPE in the configuration, What is my best bet for programming in 2000 DN's ? I know how to do this one line at a time, although I dont think that is an option. Is a procom script my best bet ? Or is there an automated method of adding multiple extensions. Thanks

i use scripts so that i can assign tn to dn, very quick with a copy command repeated a thousand times, you can also build phones with out the copy command that way, i record a script, remove proc main and endproc, modify the script in WORD and do a mail merge with an excel spread sheat. After the excel is complete, writing the script and doing the merge takes less then an hour. after that the sets take less then a minute each. you can use the cpy 16 command and answer the tndn prompt auto and the switch will do the rest, but you'll need to add the cards so they will end up on the list of unused units..if you run into problems i can paste scripts here or more detailed steps on the mail merge side. i use this when i need to move hundreds of phones from one type of switch to another for a large cutover..
