Adding List of Values Job Server

Hello:

I am using Crystal Reports Server XI on Microsoft Server 2003, SP2 with IIS 6.0.

I am trying to add a second List of Values Job Server.

The command line on the first (default) server is:

win32_x86\procLov.exe" -service -name SAMHA04127.ListOfValuesJobServer
-ns @crystalcluster -objectType CrystalEnterprise.MetaData.MetaDataRepositoryInfo
-lib procLOV -restart -jsTypeDescription "List of Values Job Server"

The command line on the second (new) List of Values Job Server is:

"\\SAMHA04127\E$\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11\
win32_x86\jobserver.exe" -service -name SAMHA04127.nasw.ds.army.mil.jobserver(3)
-ns @crystalcluster -objectType CrystalEnterprise.MetaData.MetaDataRepositoryInfo
-lib proclov -jsTypeDescription "List of Values Job Server" -restart

If you look closely the second line of each of these two strings, then you notice the first (default) server uses procLov.exe, whilst the second one uses jobserver.exe

Is this a problem or should I simply change the command line of the new server? Is it dangerous to change the command line in such a way?

The List of Values Job Server (proclov.exe) is different to the Crystal Reports Job Server (jobserver.exe)

The CCM (Central Configuration Manager) does not let you add another List of Values Job Server.

Given that the List of Values Job Server can happily process up to 5 concurrent jobs simultaneously per cpu it would take an extremely large number of scheduled LOV objects to necessitate additional LOV processing capacity.

Are you sure you need it?

Remember the LOV Job Server only processes List of values objects that are used and scheduled via Business Views.
