I have to add 3 new lines to my KSU tomorrow. I have several lines that are no longer in use thus i was thinking of terminating the 3 new lines in the place of 3 of the old lines i plan to remove. Would this be an acceptable way of getting these lines into the switch or is it better to just add them fresh? I have never added lines but I do know a little about the Norstar switch. I really welcome any help. THANKS

Sure why not. you can backfill open line ports if the numbers that are already there are dead or disconnected. Once you do the the cross connects, just go into the programming and set those lines back into the proper pool for outdial purposes. Also remember to set the ringing on those lines for incomming calls. For example line 001 set to appear and ring on extension 221.
