thread844-1678605 I am having problems getting my lines five and six to come up. The card is in slot number 5, has been id'd as a co card in software, etc. System seems to not see card. Added line to group 1, dial 9 goes to 4, etc. any ideas?
If the KSU doesn't recognize the card, you'll never make the lines work. Reset KSU. Make sure you chose the appropriate card type in programming. Make sure the have the appropriate physical card, etc.
I did reset the switch, and I am nearly positive I have the correct type of card. In programming there is only one type of CO card so that's good. I must be missing something simple, because none of this makes sense. Dial 9 goes to line 4, 5 and six in group etc, don't get it, that's why I'm reaching out for help. This should be easy.
I have all the lines in group 1. If I dial 9 or hit pool I get line 4 not 6. I haven't double checked the line appearances, but have dialed the code for direct line selection, which I don't remember off the top of my head. (88001 or something like that),and got a busy. That is why I am stumped. This is getting embaressing.
What I'm suggesting is that, within system programming, you make a direct line appearance of each the failed lines on one phone. Note that I made this same suggestion on your other post. If this works, then it's all about group or access. If this doesn't work, then it's more likely about the card and the configuration of the card. Are you SURE that it's the correct card, configured in the correct slot? Sure the card is good? This is usually a fairly straight-forward process.
I am going to the client to add the line appearances today. i just didn't want to leave and have it still not working. I have an LCOB card in slot 5 IDd as a CO card in flash 24 I think it is. I don't know if the card is good or not, but I have tried 3 different ones and it is unlikely that I have 3 bad ones. what else is there on the configuration side?
On the group/ access, in line group 1, and no access with pool, etc. any other ideas if line appearances don't work. Also, didn't mention but IDd slot to none and the CO again to try and "wake it up". Thank you for your help.
Process should be:
1. Power down KSU
2. Slide card into appropriate slot
3. Power up KSU
4. Program card type
5. Power cycle KSU
6. Program lines into appropriate trunk group.
7. Configure extensions to allow access to that trunk group.
8. It works.
You can use the serial interface, enter maintenance mode and query the KSU for status on slot 5 and/or the ports in the slot.
If no joy, try slot 6
