??Adding Line access on nortel phones?? 1

Hey, I'm the new "IT guy" at a moderately sized carpeting company and I need to know how to access more than just 2 lines on new extensions without calling in a sevice tech from our distributor and being charged $100 for it. They're our phones! Anyway, I basically ran a new line out to our warehouse and the phone only has access to lines 1 and 2. The rest of the buttons are thing like last # redial and what not. I tried getting into the system configuration by enering feature **266344, pass 266344 from the main phone, and can cycle through 4 diff. options (one of them being system configuration) but can't seem to actually access any of them. Any help would be super!

feature ** is the place u want to be, ...but the programming interface is NOT AT ALL user friendly, that it is easy to mess up the system

under configuration is where you add lines to the sets ...if you have the installer guide.

and when u are adding lines to the system, apart from programming you might need hardware to support the lines

Thanks senk1s, I figured that's where I should go. But yeah, our distributor never supplied us with any instructions on how to move around in the system config. would you know of any web sites that could shed some light on the subject?

there were a few sites with online documentation ...which sells manuals ...try ebay/ google for norstar installer guide

Paying the vendor to educate you through a service call is money well spent. Also get a RAD onto your system to make it easy for your vendor to help you.
