Hi I am adding new keycodes to increase 250 extensions in my existing 11c rls 4 pbx. I got two cabinets and cards from Nortel. Need yours advice how to go with this? i mean can i plugged fiber cable with new 02 cabinets while power is ON? and then insert keycode??
Just need your advice how to add these 2 cabinets and keycode with live system.
Thanks

Do you have to install a fiber daughterboard onto the SSC card? If so, then you will need to take the system down, pull the SSC card out, and install the card. If the daughterboard is already on the SSC card, I suspect you will still need to take the system down so you can pull the SSC card enough to plug the fiber into the daughterboard. (Unless you can disable enough cards in the 1st few slots to pull them out and plug the fiber in while the SSC is live). Regardless of those scenarios it is easiest to take the system down so you can work on it.

Adding the keycodes is no big deal at all. Perform this procedure from TTY 0 in LD 143:

LD 143
.UPGRADE
Choose Option 2 "System Ugrade"
Choose Option 3 "Feature/Parameter Upgrade"
Follow the questions and use your new keycode sheet and enter the new info.
If the keycodes are successful, it will tell you it was successful and that you do not need to Sysload.
