thread223-1194867 has some suggestions on how to add or insert an image to an existing pdf file. Every time I forget how to do this and search again this thread comes up top, but without the easiest answer in Acrobat. The easy way to insert an image into a pdf in Acrobat (the Pro version which allows edits) is not obvious, but it is easy and is described at this link:
The process is basically: (1) find and select "Touchup Object Tool" (in "Advanced Editing"), (2) right click on the page, (3) select "Place image" from the popup menu.
 
To make it even easier to find for future reference, it sounds like this may make a good FAQ.
