Adding hotspots and roll-over to large graphic

Hi everybody:

I have a large graphic. I would like to add hotspots to the graphic so various portions of the graphic can act as links/buttons. I would also like to add a rollover effect to the hotspots. Is this possible in Fireworks (obviously the destination of the hotspot would be set in Dreamweaver)? In other words, I would like just a portion (the hotspot) of the graphic to highlight when the cursor goes over it. Any thoughts? I know how to insert a hotspot in Dreamweaver, but I do not know how to add a roll-over effect to just the hotspot, rather than to the whole image (i.e. I only want the roll-over effect to occur when the cursor is over the hotspot, not simply when it is over any portion of the large graphic).

Any help you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks, in advance....

What version of Dreamweaver do you have? This is easy to do in DW (if it is new enough) - I find hotspots in FW a pain.

For DW - Put the graphic in a layer. Put the "rollover" graphic in a separate layer. Create the hotspot. In the HS properties replace the crosshatch in the "Link" field with javascript:;

Go to behaviours and select the "show/hide" layers behavior. You should be able to take it from there.

Peace
