I have a linked table in Access 2007 which was originally set up without all the fields from the SQL table it is linked to. I need to add several of the fields from the original table but cannot find any way to do so. Will I have to delete and rebuild my linked table in order to add these fields or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks,

Dale

Hi Dale,

All you should need to do is run Linked Table Manager and refresh the linkage. That will update all fields to their current setting in the SQL backend table.

Note:
I do not know of any way to link a SQL table and not expose all fields in the table.

If this is how you data(table) appears then purhaps you are using a view to the SQL table and the view would need to be revised in the SQL db.

Hope This Helps,
Hap...

That did the trick. The table was apparently linked prior to addition of the fields I wanted.

Thanks,

Dale
