In Sql Server 7.0 I have a certain number of users who can use my database A. Now, If I create a database B, how can I retain all the users from database A. In short, how can I let the database A users access database B.

Is there some import users kinda thing???

Thanks

The best way is to have your SQL Server Users in NT groups and then it's just an easy matter using Enterprise Manager to give the appropriate groups access. However you would not be able to do this if you are just using standard security on SQL server.

Another method is to highlight database A and go to Generate Scripts then on the options tab select database Users and SQL Server logins. From the resulting script hack out the required SQL and then run on database B.

Hope this helps.

Rick.
