I'm trying to use the following mailto: to populate the body of an email in HTML, with breaks in the copy body of the email. However, I don't want to use <br> tags since some people may have text only email. I was wondering if there is an ASCII equivalent or something, that would put breaks in the email, so that the body reads:

Name:
Address:
Telephone:

--------------------------------------------------

<A HREF="mailto:test@test.com?subject=Your Test Email&body=Address:<br>
Address:<br>Telephone:<br>">Contact Us</A>

i tried, but the link doesnt work now? does \n need to be enclosed in some special characters or something, i tried double and single quotes with no luck

OK, I was wrong - %0D%OA DOES work in both HTML and Text mode, at least with Outlook.
