Adding Dual PKM to 5340e on MXeIII rel 5.0

All I get are flashing lights. I've programmed keys on both units and reset several times.

This was installed remotely. I do not have hands on.

Any thoughts as to what may have been missed?

Is it set to dual Pkm in the system?

Also there was a Tib about 5330 and 5340s needing a extra cable to the phone main board from the module. These cables didn't come with older module. Think it is to do with power

The 5330 and 5340 sets now supports pkm module in 4.2 software but requires a cable from pkm module to sets main board
This cable was not needed for other types sets and was not included with module part number 50005662. After April 2010 the cable was included with module.Please see attached diagram from pkm.doc for where cable goes. If you require this cable contact Product Support

I think the V2 Part Number is 50005662

This is a new system with all parts ordered and delivered this year (2013)

I would still get someone to confirm the part numbers are correct


Then try adding single PKM and see if it works first

Last time this happened to me the cables had been incorrectly plugged in.....that was a single pkm though.

OK, I've got 1 PKM running but not the second.

Has anyone seen anything about Dual PKM not being supported with a 5340?

No it's definitely supported.

What did you do to get 1 working?

Is th phone locally powered? Or Poe?

My major difficulty is I'm doing this remotely and the people on site are not technical. (Car Dealership)

Don't suppose you can get them to try a power brick?

Not really, this place is quite remote. If I can't get the second PKM to work normally, we'll do without.
