Adding DTM to a BCM 400...Won't recgonize DTM.

Before telco brings in a new PRI-I added a new DTM to in the 4th slot of a 3.7 BCM 400.
When looking @ programming it does not see the DTM & you can not change it.(for bus 5 it has a sta mod with status as un-equipped)
Power & status lights on DTM are green.
In service light is flashing.
Switch settings are set for bus 5.
Does the PRI have to connected to the DTM in order for it to come up & recognize the DTM???
I thought you could program the DTM before you cut over new ckt.????
Any ideas?

you are right - it is not required to have a pri circuit to setup DTM

double check dip switch settings
try a different slot or a different DTM

Disable the slot change to t1- pri. Then enable.

I disabled bus & T-1/PRI doesn't come up as a option when I tried to change.

Is bus 5 a shared resource with another MBM?

Post your MBM and Bus settings pls.

T1 should be in BUS 7 if your 2/4 or 6 if your 3/5
