I have an IBM RS6000 and we are using Raid 1 with two pdisks (one mirroring the other) to create one hdisk. We are working on upgrading some of our 18GB drives to 36GB drives and my problem is this. I can replace the 18gb pdisks with a 36gb pdisk and have both pdisks in the mirror show up in the system as 36gb drives, but my hdisk is still showing up as an 18gb drive. Is there an easy way to tell the hdisk that it now has 36 gb available without having to remove the hdisk? For example, in my system I have pdisk4 and pdisk12 and they make up hdisk2. Pdisk4 and pdisk12 now show up as 36gb drives but the hdisk2 still shows as 18 gb. I am sure that it still shows up as 18gb because of the way that I replaced the pdisks but, taking my system down and removing the hdisk is not an option.
