Hello, I have a database where I am storing information relating to my files. I'm in the process of creating a searchable web page to be able access them. My question is...when going to add a new document to the db, instead of having the user manually type the file location, is it possible for him/her to use a drill down format to get the directory location into the field? So basically they would use like a windows explorer format to drill down to the folder location and that is what would get populated into the form text box.

thx

I'm not sure I follow, if the file is stored on the server, the relative location percieved by the end user is likely not to be pertinent to other users as only the server path would apply, unless this is some form of intranet.

Even so, you'd probably need some form of app on the client machine to find the local path as PHP being server side wouldnt understand how to collect the current path from the client machine.

Possibly java but don't quote me on that.
