We are hiring new employees. I need to add digital sets and vmb's for the new hires. I am new to definity administration. What do i need to look at in order to accommodate both digital sets and vmb's? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
as far as stations, you can pick a station you want the new stations to be like and use "dup stat XXXXX" and then enter a new ext number and TTI the new stations at the desk top after you are done.....as far as the VM.......you did not stat what type of system you are using...
The VM is an Intuity Audix. What if I need to add approx 60 stations and VMB's? What things do I need to consider or look at to make sure Definity and Audix can handle this many stations and vmb's? Any steps and instructions would be greatly appreciated.
you can duplicate 60 stations by picking the one you want for a template,, (like AMGTEKIII said) and then
dup sta xxxx count 60 start xxxx
so if you wanted to duplicate station 1234, and wanted the new stations to start at ext 1500 you would do
dup sta 1234 count 60 start 1500
I don't know how to add a bunch of VM at once,, I think you may have to add them one at a time
add sub xxxx, then enter the info you need, like name, commuity ID, cor/cos, etc.
you can do a list extensions in you ASA to see a total list of extension in use in your system...
I know how to add a station. What I'm trying to determine is if the current Definity and Audix config has the capacity to add approx 60 additional digital sets and vmb's. What do I need to look at in the Definity and Audix? How do I confirm if the current phone and vm config will support that many new sets and vmb's?
display capacity, will give you info on your definity
in asa, hardware manager will display all the boards in the system, then you can look at how many digital ports you have left, unused
and a disp sys cus (display system-parameters customer-options) will tell you how many stations you are licensed for
Dont know what audix you are using but make sure the station names fields and the audix name fields match if in doubt just check the format of a added user already.
