So... I'm trying to develop some enterprise-wide views for my company, to hide what we don't care about and see what we do care about. In creating a new View, "A", I chose type "Entry", with no Groups and All Tasks. I want to hide the (worthless)Duration column, and insert the "Work" column and a custom text column on this view... no problem there. But, when I try to save this view to global.mpt, it won't keep my settings of adding the Work column and Text columns, or of hiding duration. I cannot find anything in my literature or experience to help me do this piece. any help or ideas is appreciated.

I found a better way by saving my changes to a global.mpt file. Then I only need to dsitribute the file and have everyone start new projects by opening that file first.
