Hi,

I have an UNLOAD of a table taken under z/OS and I would like to reload this into the table but the table now has an additional column at the start of the PK.

My question is:

How do I change the SYSPUNCH cards to supply a default value that does not exist in the input UNLOAD. I cannot apply a default on the column as only the rows sourced from the UNLOAD will have a particular value and other rows from other sources may be added with different values.

Thanks,

Stoggers.

Hi,
I am assuming that this is a one-time load to the table where the PK has a new column attached to it.

If so, one option would be to "manually introduce" a default value that you want into the SYSREC(Unload of the file) and then load it with the new SYSPUNCH.

Is this what you were looking for?

Hi,

Yes - thanks - I should have looked through the documentation! As you say, I can add the new column value by specifying a character literal on the control cards.

Thanks,

Stoggers.
