I have a KXT123211D with 6 incoming lines. Some phones when I press say CO 4, I get a message saying the CO is Unavialble. Other phones have no problem. How do I unrestrict these or add the CO's to this phone? Or what could be the problem.

I have the following handsets
KXT7135
KXT-7020
KXT7030

Anyone have the programming manual for the KXT1232 or these handsets?

Hi Grundy
On the T7030 to change the Flexible CO button with handset on hook & SP button off : set thge memory button to program : press the CO which you want to change : dial 0 : dial the CO number you want : Store/memory :Then reset the program button to memory.
I am am not sure about the other phones but it will be similar.

The Kx-61631 you do the program switch then press the CO button: then dial the co number ie. 1-8 them memory then repeat with any other buttons and last reset the program/memory switch
Cheers I hope this helps Brian

I have tried this. It works on most the phones but not on certain ones.

Example:
I have one phone after I set to program and then hit CO1 to program it just sits there instead of asking for EXT # like the others. I have 2 other phones that are like that and won't add any CO lines. Intercom and everything works but won't add any of the 6 lines.????

Does it say "Not Available" or "CO Not Assigned"? When you slide the program switch to program and press a CO button, does the CO line number appear in the LCD screen (use an LCD phone). If so you need to program outgoing access for that extension.

"after I set to program and then hit CO1 to program it just sits there instead of asking for EXT # like the others."

Once you slide the program switch to program mode, does the LCD change in any way? If not, the phone is bad. Take a phone from a different location and use it to program, then switch phones back.

When I switch it to program the LCD does change. When I slide to program and hit CO1 to program it, the LCD just says CO 1. How do I program outgoing access for that extension? Its a KXT123211D?

The phone should be good. I have two phones like that. Please advise

Mrpeadbody?

Do you know the programming codes to fix this problem. The Phone system used to be set up for 2 differnet companies and this may be why these 2 phone extensions dont have access to those lines. How do I fix? Anyone Please?

You must enter system programming for this. To enter slide the program switch on the side of the unit down to program. Then enter program 45 for CO outward dialing assignment. Then either press SP-phone or just enter the jack number (last 2 digits of ext #) of the 1st phone that does not access the line. Then enter * to allow access to all lines and press Auto Answer button until enable is displayed. Then press store button.

Repeat procedure for the other ext.

Going to try right now. If this works your a life saver. I was living without 2 extenions working... I'm going to try programming from main phone!.

Thanks

Well Im at the location and it did't work. All of them were set to enable. The strange thing is when I set one to DISABLE, STORED THE ENTRY, switched the back on the main unit, I could sitll use the phone??

The other thing is, in group 45 It only lists 13 extensions when we have 2 8 line cards. ?? Maybe that has something to do it. I checked groups and everything else I could think of. I dont know why its not even restricting the ones when I try to test? Any help!?

The other thing is ont he extenions that dont work, when I pick up and dial 9 and drops me to CO 7 and its all quiet. We only have Co 1-5 for outgoing lines usually. So I dont know if that means anything

Ask yourself these questions:

Is the phone system in night mode? If so, you need to use program number 46.

Is it possible that it was 12 and not 13? You sould be able to increment through all 32 jack numbers even though you only have 2 cards. I think you may be incrementing through the 12 CO plus the "*".

So..
Make sure you understand the way this program works. This program has two dimensions. The first number is the CO number, which you increment with the previous/next buttons (redial/speakerphone). The second number is the jack number of each phone and is incremented with the <- and -> buttons (conf/fwddnd).
