Hello,

I have taken over for a previous admin guy who supported Macola/Progression. I have the appropriate permissions/passwords etc. to add users and have added two users. But I have a dumb question.... Everything is loaded on the server, what is the typical process for installing the client?? On one system I just copied the pwe.exe shortcut to the desktop and it appears to work fine but for some reason on another system it doesn't work and there is some Progression "stuff" in the start menu but the icons are basically "unrecognized".

Thanks for the help.

First things first. I would ask you VAR for some training on basic macola administration. This is not a ding on you but simply intened as the best advice you can get for free.

To answer the quesiton. What version of the macola db do you have?

1. Install db client on machine and configure to macola specs.
2. Insure that the user has a proper mapped drive to the server location for macola. This is REQUIRED as macola operates off mapped drives.

3. Install the macola client from the mapped drive \install directory under macola.

4. If you have Flex then install the flex client from the mapped drive \instflex directory.

VIOLA you have a working client. (Hopefully)
