Hi everyone,
I have never done anything too complicated with meridian, I usually re-enable phones that went dead and that just about sums it up.
I need to add the feature CFXA to the class of service on a 3905 phone, can I add a single feature or do I have to re-do the whole phone programming again?
Thanks a lot!

I personlly would just add the CLS CFXA to an ACD set.
Others here will tell you to out the phone and rebuild it.
seeing as your a newbie, it might be better to listen to those that say OUT and REBUILD it, until you feel confortable with the system. You may also need to change the CDB to CFF if it is set to CFO if the call won't got out.

Thanks for the answer acewarlock,
Would you mind giving me a run down of that ACD option? I'd just like to get an idea of what would be required.
Thanks again!

a 3905 is usually an ACD phone, isn't your?

Do you mean the CDB and CFF and CFO?

I apologize, I wasn't clear at all. I would actually like to try to add the CFXA to an ACD set, but I just don't have a clue how to proceed.
Thanks!

Now this is the way I would do it and not the way alot of guy's on this forum would do it. Some say making a change on a ACD set can cause coruption in the database, so they advise outing the phone and rebuilding it new. So if you want to take a chance with your future if the switch crashes. remember I warned you.

Haha! Okay I think I will tell my user to wait then, I do need the paycheck. But I will keep the procedure in my notes anyways. Thank you very much for all your help, you rock!

If you decide to out the phone and rebuild it, do a Print of the TNB for that phone so when you put it back in you will know what was there before you outed it.

Just a quick note. If you are using symposium with your ACD, make sure you also deaquire the TN from Symposium as well before doing any changes.

You can make the change to the CLS. It wont corrupt the data, but just make sure if you have Symposium that you deaquier it first, make the change, then re-aquire.
FrankoK is correct.
Do not ever make a change to key 0. Always out the set and rebuild if you have to change key 0. (the que the agent is in)
But I'd be questioning why the wanted to be able to forward an agent set out of the system.

Hi everyone,
The story behind this is the following:
I have a user who used to be part of a call-center department but now occupies a different position. He is still using his CC phone (we have to change it, but the tech who knows meridian is away on vacation) and expects a call and wanted to forward his CC phone to his cell off hours. Because the company I work for has a habit of spoiling it's users, I had to find a quick solution for him.
Thanks for all you your help, it was really appreciated. The meridian "expert" is back from his vacation now and we'll proceed to change the user's phone with a standard 3903.
Thanks again!
