MS Office 2000 Pro, Win XP Pro,

I have a table within a word doc which I've created as a form to automatically enter values. I would like the last field to calculate data which I've entered into three other fields. I've gone into the properties of the total field and entered calculate and entered the formula then clicked the calculate on exit radio button. It works when I do it there, but when I close the properties dialogue it won't work when I lock the form. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks to all in advance!

Sorry, I'm using word and created a table within. I didn't export from excel. There aren't any sheets involved.

Hi bittorents,

Each of your formfields has a bookmark name (eg Text1, Text2, Text3). The formula field to add their values would thus look like:
{=Text1+Text2+Text3}
where the field braces '{ }' are created via Ctrl-F9.

With each formfield's properties set to 'caluclate on exit', the formula field will update automatically.

Cheers
