On my laptop I installed Win8 Release Preview onto my new SSD drive without disabling the original hard drive. When I boot up I get a choice of operating system. This is great and I would like to get the same thing on my desktop.
When I installed Win 8 on my desktop I first disabled the main hard drive with Vista on it. So I don't get the operating system choice. Anyone know how without re-installing I can fix it, please?

Have you tried the Startup Repair option in Vista (or even Windows 8)? Run it with both Vista and Windows 8 accessible.

Startup Repair.

Startup Repair is a Windows recovery tool that can fix certain problems, such as missing or damaged system files, that might prevent Windows from starting.

Thanks Linney - sorry to take so long to come back to you. Sadly your suggestion didn't work. Neither startup repair "found" the other operating system. I googled around a bit more but didn't find a fix. Unless someone can help I'll have to re-install.

Regards,

Gavin
