Adding an extra IP to a Suse 7 NIC

Hi,
Im trying to assign a second IP to a NIC within Suse 7. On later versions I would just create /etc/sys-config/networks/ifcfg-ethX.X with the relevant info, but Suse 7 appears to work differently. From what I can make out I need to edit modules.conf, but I dont know how it associates with the extra IP etc. Does anyone know the exact precedure to do what I trying to do?
