I just added 2 new extensions to a Merlin system that has integrated AUdix. How do I give those two extensions voice mail? Can some one help me with the steps needed as I am doing this set based.

Thanks
Carolyn

I am by no means good with Audix. BUT. there is a button labeled "choices" pretty self explanatory.

Add sub XXXX(ext number)

Input all the data. Name, password, etc.

The only question will be if the phone system sends the call to voicemail after X amount of rings....

I'm completely lost... I'm using a MLX 10DP phone to do the programming..

You will need to go to the Audix (or is it Audis Voice Power?) terminal to do this, I believe. Audix resides on a PC, and the PC should have administration software on it.

This system is based on a PCMCIA card in the Merlin, not a seperate unit like we normally see on a definity..

This ain't Audix. I have never seen voice mail on a PCMCIA card for Magix/Legends...How did you determine that is where it resided? Are you sure you are not just looking at the backup card? I could be way off, but Audix should be connected with analog station ports off an 012 or 016 module, and a connection to the Admin port on the processor via 355A adapter and wiring...and I believe with Legend it was AVP, or Audix Voice Power? When you dial your voice mail, how does it answer, "welcome to Audix", "welcome to Merlin Mail", or what?

Maybe the PCMCIA card you're referring to is the port license card in a Merlin Messaging?

TTT you are probably so right. If so she can create the mailboxes from any touch tone phone, as we all know. Carolyn, you must log into the admin mailbox, do you know the admin password? You must have the admin mailbox password, then you dial 9 and the Admin password. Listen to prompts after that. The word Audix threw me into a reverie, I guess...

The module with the PCMCIA card should have a label on the front top. What does it say?

Provide the 617xxx or 517xxx number, then we will know what you are dealing with.
