I'll be adding an 016 TR Card to a Legend to add phones to new offices. There are three different operators with DSS Units in three different buildings. Each operator has the ability to page through the DSS and call the extensions in another building.
Page 1= Building #1
Page 2= Building #2
Page 3= Building #3
I'm going to have to make these new extension land in the range of the right page for that building and I should be fine. How can I find out which DSS unit is which in programming? For intance extension 100 has which number DSS unit associated to it. Thanks!

You will be renumbering the extensions on the 016 card to whatever you need them to be.

Each DSS is the same. The "page" buttons are programmed with a starting number with a multiple of 0(100) or 50. So page 1 can be 100, page 2 200, and page 3 300. The DSS displays whatever range is associated with whatever button is engaged.

Well, the way it works is, DSS UNITS monitor the status of a RANGE of extensions.

So, in your case, you are asking:

What are the EXTENSION numbers on PAGE 1, Page 2, & Page 3?

The answer can be found by going into:

SYSTEM RENUMBER > Single > MORE > DSS Buttons >
(Then enter a PAGE NUMBER) 1 to 3

and it will show you what number is assigned to what page.

Gotcha,
Question:
1. So ALL three DSS units will have the same extension ranges on each page?

2. I thought each operator has a DSS unit assigned to it. For instance ext.100 has DSS #1 and ext.101 has DSS #2. Am I right or way off the deep end?

Thanks for your help folks!

Nope, as I said, DSS Units have 3 pages.

If you only have one unit, you can monitor (i.e.) 100 to 149, and 150 to 199, and 201 to 249.

If you have 2, you can monitor 100 to 199, 200 to 299 and 300 to 399.

So, what you could do is have OPERATOR 1 activate PAGE 1, OPERATOR 2 activate PAGE 2, and OPERATOR 3 activate PAGE 3.

That may meet your requirements.
