Hi
We are using Epo 2.5 with latest service pack and have little question for whoever can answer it. Where do we get the individual add-on if it exists of Alert Manager 4.5 for McAfee and does it contain the necessary files to add it to the Software repository in Epo? As we cannot get our email notification to work and I noticed that was not installed in the software repository, should it be? or is it only bundled with the anti virus software. Thanks In Advance.

It's not required to be in the repository as Alert Manager is a component of NetShield. Therefore it gets installed when you installed NetShield. All you need to do is to make sure that it's configured correctly.

If you have the TVD or AVD CD, there's a configuration guide for Alert Manager in the Manuals directory.

Is it possible to update the alert manager on 4.03 workstations? or should we just go at it and uninstall 4.03 and put 4.5.1 on the workstations with the bundled new alert manager software?

AFAIK, 4.03 has the alerting options to Alert Manager built-in. All you need is to be able to configure this to point to the server that receives all the AM information.

It would be good if you can upgrade to 4.5.1 so that you have a common platform to support.
