Dear Sir,
How to add a Alcatel 1408 IP Phone to PBX

Plug it in a DS port.

There's one with a hump. And one who can jump.

To add a thirth party you need the following ( in order of importance)
[ol 1]
[li]Knowledge of IP Office and it's requirements[/li]
[li]Management software[/li]
[li]VCM resources[/li]
[li]third party IP endpoint license[/li]
[li]Proper LAN Qos/VLAN setup[/li]
[li]PoE switch or a PoE injector[/li]
[/ol]

There isn't an Alcatel 1408 IP phone. There isn't an Avaya 1408 IP Phone. He has a 1408. Plug it in a DS port.

Mind you, he didn't say which PBX. Who cares. Plug it in anyway.

There's one with a hump. And one who can jump.

Yeah, bolllocks to it, if it doesn't fit...make it :-)

I think we got a winner here..

This guy definitely beats the 'PLZHELPME' dude in stupidity...

Seriously though John, that handset is a digital phone not an IP phone, it needs to be connected into the IP Office DS ports, it's not an IP phone that connects to the network :-)

So, point 1 tackled the problem -> solved.

Sorry Sir for late response and the phones are Alcatel 4018 and 4028 IP Phones

Alcatel phones don't work on Avaya systems and vice versa :-)

the Alcatel OmniPCX Office PABX system is working and some 4018 are connected but when i am adding new 4018 and 4028 but not adding.
