adding addtional drives

A have a DL380 with three small hard drives (18.2 GB) I am running out of space and want to add more disk. Will this increase my space? I can only find large disk, will it use all of the new space? What is the best way to add additional disk space? Can I just add one and wait for it to rebuild?
