When adding a SIP extension, Is there a place to put the MAC address of the device on the UCX? I am having trouble registering this new phone. (SIP T46G)
The phone does have the IP of the UCX in it but again, I cant see where to put the MAC address of the phone.

Not needed for a sip extension.
Not sure about adding many sip extensions through the batch endpoint configurator

Build a SIP ext. under extensions on the PBX tab. You can enter the MAC Address here if you choose or you can enter a 0 for the MAC address, press submit and then apply. If the phone is in fact pointing to the UCx IP you still need to go into the GUI of the phone enter and the User ID - (Ext # you built in Extensions) and the the Password - (The secret assigned when you built the ext.).

That is the minimum you need to do. If you do that the phone should register.

On a 4.0 system there is not a field for the MAC address when you add a generic sip extension. Also no MAC address field when you edit that extension. The phone if it is on the same subnet as the server all that is needed is the server address, user name, and password. On the UCX the extension user name, and password must match that of the phone.

Thanks guys. I have all the information input correctly and it is still not registering. I think it may be a port issue.
Not sure...

What is the result of the command sip show peers (GUI PBX->Tools->Asterisk CLI)

Name/username Host Dyn Forcerport Comedia ACL Port Status Description
192680_2001/192680_2001 208.43.234.226 Yes Yes 5060 OK (16 ms)
504/504 (Unspecified) D No No A 0 UNKNOWN
510/510 192.168.2.14 D No No A 5060 OK (6 ms)
3 sip peers [Monitored: 2 online, 1 offline Unmonitored: 0 online, 0 offline]

Here are the results... the extention is 510 that I am using and the host is the mac address of the phone. I am not quite sure how to troubleshoot this information.
any input would be helpful/

We created a new account under the phone with the same settings and then the phone registered. ??
