Hello,

I am having diffuculty setting up a web site in IIS 6.0 on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition, Service Pack 1.

I opened IIS and added a new application pool.
I then added a new web site.
I added a new virtual directory under the new web site added from above.
I set web service extensions to allow all.

When I go into frontpage 2000 and try to open up the web site, it says -
"FrontPage needs to add information to your folder in order to help manage your Hyperlinks and other Web site content."

I click on "Yes" and then get the error - "Cannot create the folder _vti_pvt"

Any suggestions as to what I am missing or need to check?
THANKS!

I'm just taking a stab, but have you tried to open your web page with a browser like IE or FF? Sounds like FrontPage is the problem, not your IIS setup.

Looks like a permission issue. Make sure the username you are using has rights to the Files system on IIS.
