Adding a voice mailbox only

How do I add a voice mail box for a Meridian Mail? They will not have a phone.

Add the ext as a dummy ACD que.

Then build your voice mail box

You can go to Voice Mail and create a Voice Mailbox. If you want the mailbox to be reached dierctly you will need to create a DN on a phantom port. If you want it to be reached from an external number you will need to make it a DID DN. If you don't need to call it directly then you don't need a DN created. This might be for a boss to leave messages for his workers. He can create a message and send it to their VMboxes. Then the workers would need to check their VMboxes on a regular basis, or they can be set-up in a menu to allow an incoming callers to select for who they want to leave a message. In this case a phantom DN is not needed for the individuals but a phantom DN or ACD DN would be set-up for the menu number.
