adding a value from the last row of data to the next row

I am using Crystal 8 and need to know how to add a row of data data to the next row of data from another field, example :




report report
column 1 column 2
A. 200 200 No calculation for row A
B 300 ? =Column 1 row B + Column2 row A
C 400 ? =Column1 row C + Column2 row B
D 500 ? =Column 1 row D + Column2 row C Etc.

Just use a Running Total field (Insert->Field Object->Right Click Running Totals and select New), add your columna and select type of summary Sum, with Evaluate For each record, and Reset Never, and place it in the details.

You can do this with code, but why bother?
