Hi I have a problem and would like your oppinion(s).
My manager (at automotive repair shop) would like to add one more computer for the mechanics to use. (this PC will be on a wireless network, boss not willing to run cable to PC).
Also in the shop, we need another PC for diagnosing vechicles, this PC will be moved from vehicle to vehicle (also needs to be wireless).

Solution to this (maybe??) is to add a wireless router (Linksys) from managers' office - using his network (hardwired) connection. Subnetting this IP address, so 2 PC would be able to connect to Internet.

Breakdown of connection:

Managers' office IP = from Main network (not sure what IP address is right now), will be the Routers' address, and "Gateway" for other PCs.

Router = will make available new subnetted (private IPs) to other PCs. (192.168.1.X)

I think I should get on the main network (server) and make the manager's IP a static address so "Router" IP will be constant.

Any oppion on this would be great. Will this work?? Did I miss anything???

Thanks
