Adding a script to webpages

I created a website using Frontpage 2000 and would like to add a script that will make it harder for people to copy items from my site (I know that you cannot prevent someone who knows what they are doing from getting the files). My problem is that when I find some scripts to do this for me I can't seem to find the proper point to place them. When I add the script where the instructions say - the words actually show up on the webpage. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help with this problem???

What kind of script?
What webserver will the script be running on?
