Hi

I am trying to add a SAS Data Source to Excel so that I can refresh certain reports.

In Excel if you go to the Data tab and select Import External Data, then New Database Query you are promted to choose your Data Source.

Now because I haven't managed to set one up for SAS yet, I chose new data source.

I then get promted to name this source and select a driver from a range of options, I chose SAS, then clicked on connect.

This takes me to the SAS ODBC Driver Configuration Screen.

Now this is where I get my problem, under the general tab, it prompts me for Data Source Name and description, then to choose a Server from a drop down list, but I have nothing to select from this list, it is blank, and cannot procced after this stage.

Can anyone help me here please?

Many thanks

Nick

No idea. Have you tried setting up an ODBC link to the dataset before starting Excel?
