Adding a Row Count to an SQL in Impromptu

I have a self-coded SQL statement in an Impromptu report. I want to count the number of rows that is returned when the report is executed. I know Impromptu knows what the total count is because it displays the value in the bottom status bar. However, I do not know how to include that value in my report. Because the SQL is self-coded, Impromptu will not allow the use of its Count function. (And before anyone reprimands me for not coding this in Impromptu, this report is very complex!)
