Adding A "Pause" In Contacts Not Working IPO 9.0.316.2

Hi all,
I have an IPO running on 9.0.316.2 and i'm trying to add a contact with an extension number on my 1408.
I named my contact and when i enter the number (from the phone) i go "More" "Pause", nothing happens but a small beep that sounds just like the beep of an blank button.
Any idea if it's a bug? Is there some other way to do it (without Manager)?
