Is there any way of adding a printer to a Windows 2000 Professional PC remotely? I have tried to connect to \\pcname and then add printers in the printer folder but it only seems to do it for the user that is logged on.

With windows 2000, you have to configure the printers for each profile, seperately. It can be a real drag on a visitor machine with like 10 user profiles. You have to log on as each individual user, in order to install the printer.

In the past we have just setup a dummy user with everything and then copied the profile over to the Default User profile. This has worked all right.

Doesnt work descent when the PC is all ready established, users logged in and then either the PC is moved to a new location or a printer is renamed or added.
